My Focus

I truly enjoy helping people, whether it is a company or an individual, employer or employee. From drafting contracts such as Employment Agreements, Independent Contractor Agreements, and/or Restrictive Covenant Agreements to Employee Handbooks, or engaging in HR Consulting, I try to work with my clients to get their desired result.

My Approach

When I am assisting and advising clients, I make sure that I listen to them. After all, there is a reason that they called me, whether it be to resolve a HR problem or whether someone suspects discrimination or retaliation is taking/has taken place. It is extremely important to listen to everything the client is relaying. In addition, is also key not just to listen but to ask questions and investigate, as needed. By doing so, you can “get beneath the surface” and ensure you are advising the client appropriately.

My Background

Born in Atlanta, Georgia, I was admitted to the Georgia Bar in 2017 after receiving my Juris Doctor degree from Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University. I am also a graduate from the University of Georgia in 2012 with a B.A. in Criminal Justice. During law school, I completed a summer internship for Dekalb County Superior Court Judge, the Honorable Courtney L. Johnson, and a summer internship as a Legal Intern with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Atlanta District Office. I also completed an externship with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office of the General Counsel, in their Atlanta, GA office.

In addition, and while I was in law school, I was on Law Review, I obtained a Certificate in Advanced Legal Research, Writing, and Drafting, and I competed in the ABA National Criminal Justice Trial Advocacy Team Competition. I also was active in the Atlanta Bar Association Student Section, where I was co-chair of the Litigation Section. And I remain a member of the Atlanta Bar Association today.

My husband and I live in Smyrna where we enjoy community events, watching college football, and spending time with our friends and family.
